Makes you wanna run to that little street in Paris and try some of that, or maybe go to a "nostalgia shop". Wonderful movies full of funny details.

I thought Midnight in Paris was a bit cliched, but overall it was an enjoyable movie and a homage to French culture.

The Purple Rose of Cairo is just his best, no? Oh wait, Crimes and Misdemeanors. But then there's Manhattan. And Hannah and Her Sisters. Love and Death with all those Ingmar Bergman jokes. No, wait. I shouldn't be unfair to Annie Hall just because it's his most famous.

Argh. :)

Thanks, everybody!

@Arghya: I'm willing to admit that Javier Bardem in that red silk shirt is among the greatest moments of television, but apart from that, while the movie was pretty decent (compared to Scoop!) I found the ending quite dissatisfying. Maybe because I have an unnatural bias against Scarlett Johanssen?

Did Carla Bruni bring substance as well? Lovely review, as ever, Lekha, though I think among his last few Vicky Christina Barcelona wasn't particularly forgettable...
