Lmao you are a moron. Most of your points you have no idea what your talking about.

A. Massive amounts of water IS RARE IDIOT. Go learn something about space before you start talking shit. & your assuming they can survive mining planets like Jupiter LMAO. The climate there is so hostile there is no way you could ever mine it successfully within reason. If water is even there lmao u know nothing. But besides that, you would have to assume that a species that advanced would have mastered nano technology & could create their own water.

B. Evidently they did do some research, as they had their targets laid out & landed precisely around all of the worlds major cities.

C. Lmao Bullet proof vests don't stop M16 bullets Dbag. & btw their spots were heavily armored moron. Look at how much they had to tear through just to get to it. Not to mention Heavy armor would restrict dexterity & mobility. I would trade heavy armor any day for speed & the ability to jump around rooftops. Hard to kill what you don't see coming & have a hard time hitting. Especially when you don't know where the one spot you have to hit to kill is. & your assuming these aren't mindless soldiers that the aliens don't care if they die.

D. Your assuming that these command centers are easy to build. They have what, 20 across the planet they said in the movie? Huge structures that probably take immense resources to build & operate. & why the hell would they send more than 1 if they believe the enemy wont be able to kill it? & using that many nukes would make half the planet uninhabitable. & your assuming a force field is possible lmao. Where have you seen a real, reliable shield ever placed on anything? According to today's science, force fields are impossible.

E. Who says they are taking it back? What if it is like Independence day & they convert it all into energy & store it & move on? & Independence day was ass lmao. I love the movie, but it was more fake than this movie. Umm YEA!!! Aliens spread multiple huge city size craft around the world with no communication & we are just gonna assume they don't want to kill us! lololololol a child would have figured that out!

F. I half way agree with you here. Any species that is that advanced would need nothing from us. But we are assuming here that space travel vast distances is that hard. For all we know it is relatively easy & something we could achieve in the next 100 years or even sooner, if we haven't already. You don't know. With that said we could suck up everything on our planet & need to do the same thing ourselves by then.

With all that said. ITS A MOVIE. Name any movie, ANY MOVIE, & I can tell you how it is fake as shit. Grow the fuck up. Peace.

Come now, Independence Day is a classic! No doubt it had its limitations, but infecting an alien OS with a virus using a Macbook? Classic.

But I agree, the evil alien genre is completely tapped out now, and they're all cliche ridden (but that is not going to stop me from buying a ticket for Cowboys v. Aliens when it releases).

God, I hated Independence Day too. I think Hollywood does extra-terrestrial films as if the country's still stuck in the 1950s, expecting a neighbourhood alien to pop by any minute with a Bomb. Dressed in red.

I completely disagree. While it may seem like I was shooting fish in a barrel, the fact remains that millions of dollars was spent on this movie with no discernible effect. And it makes me slightly angry that they underestimated their audience (you and me) so much. There are plenty of "fun" movies that are perfectly enjoyable without being so utterly idiotic (ID4 remains prime example), but this excuse of "it's a fun movie so relax and enjoy" excuse needs to be done away with, or more of such movies will be spawned.

While I do have inordinate amounts of time to squander away watching movies and write reviews about them, believe it or not, this particular one just wrote itself out during the movie.
