“Abu Salem can Face Death Penalty”. Really?
In keeping with the previous post by Eesvan, the media’s version of the decision of the Supreme Court in Abu Salem’s case is a sad commentary on the state of legal news reporting in India. While most reports attribute a radical conclusion to the Court, a cursory examination of the decision reveals that the decision was nothing but a straightforward application of settled law.
